Anyone who says big dogs can’t be cute hasn’t seen a Siberian husky. Their thick black and white coats are offset by their piercing pale blue eyes, which lend them an elegant look. Huskies are playful dogs at heart, a trait they develop as puppies, and they become even more adorable as they grow.

Landseer dogs are the epitome of gentle giants. Though they’re a variety of Newfoundland, they’re an independent breed with white bodies and mostly black heads. Their fur is long and fleecy, obscuring their deep-set dark brown eyes. Landseer dogs are also known for being as soft and lovely as they look.

Alaskan Klee Kai dogs look similar to huskies, so they’re just as beautiful as you imagine. Despite their small size, they love running around, so their soft, fuzzy coats need constant brushing. They usually have either dark brown or bright blue eyes, both of which are striking, and adorable big ears.

Boston Terrier

Boston terriers are now famous for their goofy expressions, but this black-and-white breed was initially bred for fighting. According to PetHelpful, they’re nicknamed the ‘American Gentleman’ because of their black-and-white coats, which resemble a tuxedo. They’ve also got large eyes and wide mouths, which amplify their animated expressions.

Japanese Chin

The Japanese chin is another charming toy breed that you won’t be able to stop petting. They have tiny bodies covered in long silky fur, floppy ears, and earnest brown eyes. Japanese chins command adoration due to their regal elegance, which stems from their past as Japan’s royal spaniel.

Chihuahua

You might not see black and white chihuahuas as often as entirely white or brown ones, but they’re incredibly sweet to behold. They’re distinguishable dogs with black faces and large black patches on their otherwise white bodies. In true chihuahua fashion, they’re perfectly lap-sized, so you can spend hours cooing over them.

French Bulldog

French bulldogs are most commonly black and white, with big, kind eyes that instantly draw you in. They’re also renowned for their adorable and unique ears, which are droopy when they’re puppies and upright when they’re adults. At any age, they’re cute, even more so because they love cuddling.

Officially categorized as a herding breed in 2015, Spanish water dogs are among the cutest black and white dogs. Like sheepdogs, they’re medium-sized and have thick, wooly curls that almost wholly obscure their eyes. They get even cuter when you see how friendly and loving they are.

Cardigan Welsh Corgi

Like the Pembroke Welsh corgis, Cardigan Welsh corgis are globally beloved for their adorably small and fluffy bodies. Though their coats make them look like white dogs wearing black cardigans, they’re actually named for the Welsh area ‘Cardigan.’ They have very sweet personalities and enjoy the attention they get.

Papillon

Papillons are usually white and brown, but they’re impossibly cuter when they’re white and black. Daily Paws explains that they’re named for their comically large ears that resemble a butterfly, and they get their regal beauty from their toy spaniel ancestors. Given how cute they are, it’s no wonder these tiny dogs are popular.

Alaskan Malamute

Alaskan malamutes resemble other arctic breeds, like the Siberian husky and the Alaskan klee kai, so it’s no surprise they’re cute. As puppies, they’re massive balls of black and white fur, and though their coats remain thick and fluffy as they age, they come to look more like dogs than clouds.

Cocker Spaniel

Spaniels are constantly cooed over, but the black and white cocker spaniels are particularly adorable. They only stand approximately 15 inches tall, so their long, silky hair is even more impressive. With their beautiful long eyelashes and big, dark eyes, cocker spaniels are definitely one of the cutest black and white breeds.

Parti Poodle

Poodles are typically fully white, hence the fun-sounding name ‘parti poodle’ for the part-black and part-white variety. Their unique coloring makes them look even cuter, especially when their ears and tails are well-groomed. Poodles are known for being fancy, so expect nothing less from black and white parti poodles.

Piebald Dachshund

Everybody knows dachshunds are one of the cutest, tiniest breeds, but piebald dachshunds are much rarer. They’ve got unusual coats that are mostly white and have darker, often black, spots and patches layered over the top. Like regular dachshunds, they also have cute floppy ears and big eyes.
